Altdorf
Altdorf, the capital of Uri, is situated in the lower Reusstal, south of Lake Lucerne. This little town has to offer a rich history as well as an interesting present time: Its manifold culture from traditional heritage like the legend of Switzerland's national hero to the modern music festival "Alpentöne" has its impact far beyond the canton's boarder.
Amsteg
To the image of Amsteg belongs the medieval castle of Zwing Uri, situated on the Flüeli hill. In Amsteg itself, striking guesthouses, where even Goethe once stayed overnight, dominate the village.
Andermatt
It is always the right decision to spend your holidays in Andermatt. Here, the season lasts all over the year. The cosy atmosphere of this mountain village is also likely to inspire you beyond high season's time.
Arnisee
Arni with its romantic lake is located on 1,400 m above sea level. This place is easily accessible by two cable railways from Intschi or Amsteg.
Attinghausen
Attinghausen is situated on the Gotthard route, slightly raised on 470 m above sea level. From here you have a beautiful view over the Reuss valley, the lake of Uri and the mountains in the Schächental.
Bauen - Isleten
Bauen is a prospering village. Thanks to its sheltered location on an inlet on the Western shores of Lake of Uri, Bauen is characterised by a particularly mild climate. Southern plants such as palm trees, fig trees and banana trees are in blossom and even bear fruits here. Bauen is a haven for people seeking peace and quiet, since the centre of this village is closed to all traffic.
Biel-Kinzig
The family-friendly skiing and hiking area Biel is located on 1,634 m above sea level, at the foot of  the historic Kinzig pass. Thanks to its southern exposure, the Biel hill benefits from bright sunlight.
Bristen
Not far from the intense traffic flow over the Gotthard, a winding mountain road sets aside for the Maderanertal. When you have conquered an almost 200 m high slope, over which the wild Chärstelenbach falls down with a rustling crash, you will arrive in Bristen.
Bürglen
Bürglen is a pretty village on 550 m above sea level at the entrance to the wildly romantic Schächen valley. Due to its location amidst an exciting mountain and holiday scenery, Bürglen is a convenient place for sports and leisure time activities.
Eggberge
Discover unspoilt nature on 1,500 m above sea level! Either on a Sunday walk in the sun or on a longer tour, the Eggberge offers every nature lover what he is looking for.
Erstfeld
The area around Erstfeld delights friends of unspoilt countryside with its numerous hiking trails. Three cable railways make it accessible to reach the moutain farms on 1,000 m above sea level all year round. They take you up to wonderful sunny alpine pastures high above the Reusstal with ease.
Flüelen
Located on the southern shores of Lake Lucerne, Flüelen offers unforgettable holidays. With all the majestic summits that surround this village and are reflected in the blue water, Flüelen on the Lake of Uri is the right place for many kinds of free time activities.
