Urnerboden

Switzerland's most spacious alpine pasture, the Urnerboden, is a marvellous hiking area amidst an impressive mountain scenery. The majority of the hiking trails as well as, since 2002, the cable railway "Fisetengrat" meet at 2,000 m of height on the Fiseten pass.
When arriving on the Urnerboden, you are welcomed by a titanic mountain range (Jägerstöcke), which makes the perfect backdrop for stunning sunrises. But before, you should pause for a while and take a deep breath of fresh and pure mountain air. Profit from this area of natural beauty and build up new strengths for your body, mind and soul.

Summer
The Urnerboden is ideal for hiking, mountain biking and climbing tours. During June, July and September you can witness the interesting cultivation of alpine pastures by centuries-old tradition.

Winter
The winter tempts you to go ski-hiking, cross-coutry skiing, ice-climbing, sledge dog-riding or just to relax.

The new cable railway near the restaurant "Urnerboden" eases the mountain and ski-hikes. The short ski lift next to the restaurant "Sonne" suits families with children. The restaurants "Klausen" and "Alpenrösli" are popular meeting places with the locals. You, dear guests, are very welcome in each of these inns.
