Uri and Wilhelm Tell are closely related to each other. The Tell museum in Bürglen shows an extensive collection on the Swiss national hero Tell, and every four years the play "Wilhelm Tell" by Schiller is performed on the stage of the Tell playhouse in Altdorf. The historic sites Rütli, Schillerstein and Tellsplatte on the Lake of Uri are easily reachable on foot or by ship.
