Legends are stories which emphasise the uncertainty and everything that is unconfirmed. The legends from Uri - locals tell their stories. More than 350 people from all walks of life, most of them patients in the hospital of Uri, told their stories to the hospital priest Josef Müller (1870 - 1929) at the begining of the 20th century. During a period when the tradition of telling stories orally was already declining, one of the most important collections of folk tales in the Alemannic-speaking area.
